Sometimes choosing a gift for somebody can be hard work but what is usually a chore can actually be a pleasure if the intended recipient plays Golf.
It makes little difference what you want to spend; you’ll be able to find something very acceptable because the range of potential golf gifts is so wide.
If you want to give a small gift to someone who plays golf, you can give him or her golf balls. A pack of a half dozen practice balls from a sports outlet will cost but a few dollars but it’ll bring a smile to a golfer’s lips.
At the opposite end of the scale would be a Golfing Vacation. If the gift is going to be really lavish, that could be to an exotic location, perhaps on the other side of the world or Europe, at a spectacular course and staying in a five star hotel. Think about one of the courses where Ryder Cup matches are played or perhaps the "Royal and Ancient" at Saint Andrews near Edinburgh. You could go "all the way" and make the gift a trip to watch the Ryder cup or the "Open" in progress.
In between, the list of possibilities is endless. The most obvious category, and always acceptable as a gift for a golfer would be apparel. Shirts, pants, shoes and caps all make great gifts and there are a huge number of stores where you’ll be spoiled for choice. There’s always the possibility of having shirts and caps individualized with the golfers own initials or monogram - that’ll cost a little more but the response would be well worth the outlay.
Probably the best golf gift though would be equipment. Again, there are dozens of possibilities from covers for the heads of the clubs, through clubs themselves, bags to carry the clubs in, trolleys to carry the bags on, covers to protect the bags — need we go on? It’s almost a pity more people don’t play golf — shopping for gifts at birthdays and Christmas would be so much easier!
